Lauren Walker

Lauren Walker is the author of The Energy to Heal, coming in May, 2022 (Llewellyn). She previously published, Energy Medicine Yoga: Amplify the Healing Power of Your Yoga Practice (Sounds True, 2014) and The Energy Medicine Yoga Prescription (Sounds True, 2017). Both books won the Nautilus Silver award for best Mind/Body publication. She’s been teaching yoga and meditation since 1997 and created Energy Medicine Yoga while teaching at Norwich University. She teaches EMYoga across the US and internationally and has been featured many times in Yoga Journal, MantraMagazine, Yoga Digest, and published a feature article about her yoga work in The New York Times.   • How often do you offer the program?

    Foundations Online is offered twice a year. Start dates are usually Spring and Fall. For more information about our upcoming start dates or to apply to the program, please email the EMYoga School at

  • Do you offer Foundations as an In-Person Training?

    Yes. We have a number of EMYoga Master Teachers who offer Foundations as an in person training across North America. Check out the Teacher Training section on the EMYoga website ( or email the EMYoga School for a list of upcoming In Person Foundation Teacher Training offerings. The cost and content is exactly the same as the Foundations Online program.

  • How many hours per week will I need to spend?

    You can anticipate spending approximately 4 to 6 hours per week working on the course material.

  • What is your refund policy?

    EMYoga does not offer refunds unless EMYoga cancels the programs. In that case, you will receive a 100% refund. EMYoga does allow you to defer for training for up to one calendar year. There is a $125 administrative fee to defer your training.

  • What are the prerequisites for the admission into the program?

    The is a yoga teacher training program. You need to have your 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification or its equivalent. If you do not hold a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification and wish to take the program as a personal immersion, please email the EMYoga school at to discuss. We also strongly recommend that students read Lauren's 1st book, Energy Medicine Yoga: Amplify the Healing Power of Your Yoga Practice, prior to the start of training.
